Municipal Credit Union
We serve as strategic communications counsel for the 400,000-member credit union. Through a program combining media relations targeting industry, regional, and hyper-local media, community engagement, and thought leadership, MCU's visibility in the industry, with its members, and throughout the greater New York City area has increased. Our efforts help the 100-year-old credit union live up to its mantra, Strong, Trusted, Growing.
Writers Guild of America, East
We spearheaded multiple communications campaigns targeting constituents including members, media, legislators, and industry influencers as the union underwent several major contract negotiations, an industry-wide labor strike, and internal leadership changes. Our efforts successfully secured positive support for the union’s positions with all constituents. We're proud our work for the WGAE during the industry-wide strike was awarded PRSA's Silver Anvil Award for outstanding crisis communications and is featured in industry journals and the textbook Public Relations Cases (Ninth Edition).
Olsten Health Services
We created and managed a comprehensive thought leadership and industry integration program promoting Olsten's industry leadership. Through the creation of a corporate Speakers Bureau which secured highly visible speaking opportunities nationwide and a strategic plan to manage the company's relationships and financial support of industry organizations, we helped Olsten and its executives gain widespread visibility and credibility able to be leveraged to increase business.
Writers Guild Initiative
We serve as strategic counsel and handle media relations for the charitable foundation and its many programs, including the Helen Deutch Veterans Writing Workshops in conjunction with the Wounded Warrior Project, PencilPals, Collyer Fellowship program, and fundraising events such as Jules Feiffer: Funny Side Up and Godfather IV.
Procter & Gamble/Hawaiian Punch
Sherry created and managed a trial-generating program for Hawaiian Punch repackaged to meet environmental legislation. The in-school effort generated repeated consumer trial, positioned the brand as an authority on youths' environmental commitment, generated positive visibility with key stakeholders and media, and helped the brand maintain critical market share.
Glad Wrap and Bags
Sherry managed the Glad Bag-A-Thon® program, a public sector/private sector partnership, grassroots marketing program in conjunction with Keep America Beautiful - the country's largest organized clean-up and recycling program - involving 1M+ people in 100 markets annually. Extensive media coverage, public service initiatives, and a broker program focusing on in-store displays and promotions helped the award-winning program boost product sales and brand loyalty beyond traditional marketing tactics.
We created and implemented a program targeting consumer and trade audiences for the company's StarterLogg and HearthLogg brands. Using media relations to position the brands as 'must have' products and company executives as resources on public education issues, such as fire safety, our program helped build strong brand awareness able to be leveraged by marketing and sales initiatives and driving retail consumer traffic.
We developed and implemented a publicity campaign to support its debut line of safety products, which created strong visibility for the new line and generated hundreds of sales leads in a marketplace where the company previously had no reputation or contacts.
Oh Baby! Toys
Our campaign supporting the specialty toy manufacturer's entry into the room decor business and promoting its Sesame Street and Goosebumps-licensed products helped increase booth traffic at key industry trade shows and enhanced retail sell-in.
